Alaska Marine Highway  System:   M/V Columbia

This vessel is a passenger and vehicle ferry for the State of Alaska Marine Highway System.  During her operational season she travels from Bellingham, WA to many different cities in Southeast Alaska.

Triple Auxiliary diesel electric Gensets

 

Main:  Enterprise Diesel Engine

Rated Horsepower:  6500 hp for each engine

Fuel Consumption:  150 Gallons per hour each at 65%load

 

Auxiliary Gensets:  Caterpillar 3512 diesel electric Gensets

Rated Horsepower:  1100 hp for each generator engine

Fuel Consumption: 37 Gallons per hour for each engine at 65% load

With two BEG 43D Directional sensors

One EET22 Temp sensor with Junction Boxes

BEM500 Electronic Display Unit

 

Aux Genset Engines:

Each equipped with Kral OME20 Flowmeters

With two BEG56 Directional Sensors

One EET13 Temperature Sensor with Junction Boxes
